Forest canopy over a valley in Ethiopia

Corporate Christmas 2026

We went back to Ethiopia in September. This is what we brought home.

We have just come back from Kaffa, the forest where coffee grows wild. In December, a small number of companies will send their most important clients the story of that journey, with coffee we roast and a card written in our own hand.

What arrives

A small box. Plenty to discover.

Coffee we roast

250g from our range, whole bean or ground, in our own kraft pouch.

A card from the journey

An A6 card: a photograph from September on the front, a page of the story on the back, and your company's name written by hand.

A way to look closer

A code on the card opens the photographs and the full story.

Packed and sealed by us

A kraft postal box. Your own printed insert goes in at no charge.

Being straight with you: the story comes from Ethiopia. The coffee comes from our range. We did not carry green beans home in a suitcase to sell as a December gift. What the box carries is the journey itself, alongside coffee we know and roast.

The journey behind the gift

“Do you know the hands that picked your coffee?”

A farmer in Vietnam asked us that. We did not know. So we went to find out, and we have been going back ever since.

In September we went back to Ethiopia, to Kaffa and on to places we had not reached before. We walked the forest and learned from the people we met. The photographs and the account of that journey are being edited now, and checked with the people in them before anything is printed.

Our co-founder Solomon Tekle was born in Kaffa. His knowledge and introductions shaped the journey.

Most Christmas gifts start in a catalogue. This one started in a forest.

Do you know the hands that picked your coffee?

From the journey

A story that begins with a question.

In September we walked into the coffee forest in Kaffa. This card carries some of what we found there.

The story is from our journey. The coffee is from our range.

What your clients hold

More than a card in a box.

Your client opens a gift with your company's name on it, written by hand. Send us the list of recipients by 27 November and we write each of their names too. Then they follow the story onward, into the photographs and the people from the journey, at their own pace and with a cup in hand.

The names are handwritten, not printed. On a card about a forest, that is the right thing to do. A mail merge is not.

  • A6, 105 × 148mm, on 350gsm uncoated board, so a pen writes on it cleanly.
  • On the front, a photograph from September and the question that started it all.
  • On the back, a page of the story, a code to the photographs, and the panel we write in.

Talk to Alice & Nick

Tell us who it's for.

Roughly how many gifts and where they are going. We will come back with a quotation and show you what their December could look like.

Can our company be part of the gift?

Yes. Your company's name is handwritten on every card, and each recipient's name too if you send us the list by 27 November. Your own printed insert goes in at no charge, and a ribbon or belly band is available at cost, roughly 15p a gift.

Can you put our logo on the coffee bag?

No, and we would rather say so now. The coffee carries a story from the people who grow it, and your name goes on the card that explains why you chose it. That is a better gift than a branded pouch.

Can you post to each client individually?

Yes, to UK addresses, for £5 per address. Delivery to one UK address is included in the gift price.

Is there VAT on top?

No. We are not VAT registered, so the price is the full price, with no VAT to add and none to reclaim.

Whole bean or ground?

Either. Tell us which, or mix them, and we will confirm it in your quotation.

Is this right for a staff gift?

Usually not. It works best for a small number of relationships that matter: key clients, partners, introducers, investors. If you need four hundred boxes for a staff party, we are the wrong people.

We don't know our numbers yet.

Give us your best estimate. Orders start at 20 gifts, and the final names are not due until 27 November.

Alice or Nick reads every enquiry themselves. We reply within 24 hours.

Thank you. It's with us.

The story your clients open

The question that took us into the forest.

This is where the account of one encounter begins: the person, the place, and what they helped us understand.

The finished story pairs field notes with photographs and captions, checked with the people in them, for your client to explore at their own pace.
